Infusion Therapy Services
Neurologist‑Directed Care • Evidence‑Based Treatments • Calm, Safe Environment
Countryside Neurology provides advanced neurologic infusion therapy for patients who need treatments beyond oral medications. Every infusion is ordered by our neurology team, supervised by Dr. Ardeshir Khademi and our advanced practice providers, and administered by a trained infusion nurse in a comfortable, medical‑grade environment. Our goal is to deliver effective neurologic care without unnecessary ER visits and to ensure that patients feel calm, safe and supported.
Conditions We Treat With Infusion Therapy
We provide neurologic infusion therapy only when medically appropriate. These services are focused on real neurological diseases and are not retail IV drips. Each condition listed below is evaluated by our neurology team to ensure an evidence‑based approach to care.
Alzheimer’s Disease & Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
For eligible patients with early Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment, we offer anti‑amyloid infusion therapy such as Leqembi and Kisunla. These intravenous therapies are designed to slow disease progression and preserve cognitive function. Our team follows FDA and CMS safety protocols, conducts cognitive monitoring, and works closely with patients and their families to manage treatment.
Myasthenia Gravis (MG)
We offer comprehensive immunotherapy for myasthenia gravis, including:
- Vyvgart (IV infusion) — delivered in treatment cycles with four weekly infusions and a personalized break
- Vyvgart Hytrulo (subcutaneous injection) — a single‑dose subcutaneous injection combining efgartigimod alfa with hyaluronidase
- Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) — donor antibodies delivered through the vein to suppress inflammation and reduce symptoms, typically given daily for about five days and then repeated every few weeks
- Subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIG) — under‑the‑skin infusions such as Hizentra or Cuvitru, used for myasthenia and CIDP
- Solumedrol infusions, as medically appropriate.
These treatments are used for adults with generalized myasthenia gravis when oral medications are insufficient or symptoms are moderate to severe. Patients receive therapy in cycles with careful monitoring and breaks as required by clinical guidelines.
CIDP & Autoimmune Neuropathies
For chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) and other autoimmune neuropathies, we offer IVIG and SCIG infusions. These therapies help suppress abnormal immune responses that damage nerves
For patients requiring infusion‑based MS treatment, we administer:
- Ocrevus (IV infusion) — two initial infusions two weeks apart, followed by infusions every six months
- Solumedrol infusions for relapses.
These disease‑modifying therapies help reduce relapses and slow progression. Our team monitors each patient closely for side effects and efficacy.
Migraine & Prolonged Headache
We provide neurologist‑supervised rescue infusions for patients experiencing status migrainosus or severe migraine attacks that do not respond to home medications. These infusions may include combinations of:
- Nonsteroidal anti‑inflammatory drugs (e.g., ketorolac/Toradol)
- Antiemetics (e.g., ondansetron/Zofran)
- Intravenous magnesium sulfate
- Corticosteroids (e.g., methylprednisolone)
- Intravenous fluids for rehydration
These regimens are tailored to each patient and are meant to break migraine cycles safely without the need for emergency room visits.
Neurologic Hydration Support
For established neurology patients with dehydration that worsens symptoms (such as dysautonomia/POTS, severe fatigue or dizziness) or those with neurologic conditions limiting oral intake, we offer supervised intravenous hydration. Protocols may start with one liter of normal saline over 1–2 hours weekly and can be adjusted based on patient needs.
Our providers review each case to rule out red flags before providing hydration therapy.
Why Our Infusion Suite Is Different
Countryside Neurology is a medical clinic, not a drip lounge. What sets us apart:
- Neurologist Oversight – Every infusion is medically necessary and reviewed by our neurology team.
- Trained Infusion Nurse – A nurse monitors each treatment from start to finish for patient comfort and safety.
- Calm, Comfortable Environment – Soft lighting and quiet spaces help patients relax.
- Emergency Preparedness – We maintain emergency medications and a crash cart because safety comes first.
- Evidence‑Based Protocols Only – No cosmetic drips, hangover cures or unregulated vitamin mixes. All treatments are neurologically appropriate.
What to Expect During Your Visit
- Before Your Infusion – You will check in, our nurse will review your symptoms and vital signs, and your IV will be placed gently and carefully.
- During the Infusion – Relax in a comfortable recliner. You are welcome to read, listen to music or rest quietly while your nurse monitors you at regular intervals.
- After the Infusion – We will observe you briefly to ensure you feel well before leaving. Most infusions take 30–60 minutes. You will receive instructions about what to expect later in the day and when to contact us.
Eligibility & Safety Requirements
Infusion services are available only to established patients and those referred to us who have undergone a clinical evaluation by our providers. We do not offer walk‑in or cosmetic hydration services. Eligibility requirements include:
- You must be an established patient or a referred patient who has been evaluated by our clinicians.
- A provider must determine medical necessity based on diagnosis and laboratory results.
- Some infusions require recent lab work or imaging; our team will advise you accordingly.
Referrals from Outside Providers
Countryside Neurology accepts infusion referrals from neurologists, primary care physicians and other specialists. However, every patient must first be evaluated in our clinic before receiving any infusion. This initial evaluation allows our providers to confirm the diagnosis, review outside records, ensure medical necessity, assess risks, verify insurance eligibility and determine the safest infusion plan. Once a patient is clinically established with us, we can proceed with therapies such as anti‑amyloid agents for Alzheimer’s and MCI, Vyvgart or Hytrulo for myasthenia gravis, IVIG or SCIG for CIDP and autoimmune neuropathies, Ocrevus for multiple sclerosis, rescue infusions for severe migraine and medically necessary hydration.
