Headache red flags: when not to “wait it out”

Most headaches aren’t dangerous. But some should be checked urgently.

✔️ Sudden worst headache of your life
✔️ Headache with weakness, confusion, vision loss, fainting, or new neurological symptoms
✔️ Headache with fever or stiff neck
✔️ New headache after head injury
✔️ New/different headaches after age 50
✔️ New headache with cancer or immune suppression
